The African Universities Hub for Human Rights (AUH) is excited to announce the call for applications for our Inaugural Summer School for Human Rights Defenders 2024. This intensive five-day program will be hosted at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa, from 7-11 October 2024.

About AUH

The African Universities Hub for Human Rights (AUH) is an initiative launched in 2023 to support African universities in protecting human rights. It aims to serve as an ‘ideas lab’ and a bridge between human rights work and academia, enhancing the protection ecosystem for human rights defenders.

  • Bursaries: Limited number available to cover return economy flights to Cape Town.
