The Crisis Project Team along with CBO representatives from Colombia and South Africa met in Cali, Colombia for a symposium to deepening story exchange process and understanding of crisis. The project offers regular opportunities for structured exchange and learning between participating local actors in different contexts. The project team hosted its first in-country learning workshop in Cali, Colombia to deepen exchange across contexts, foster dialogue between local participating Community-based organisations (CBOs) and local policy-makers, and develop comparative analysis. Such exchanges help project teams consolidate existing and incipient CBO networks in each project city, supporting local visibilisation, capacity-building and links to policy actors. These have potential to build into a global network for dialogue around common challenges relating to crises, and solutions to these. Data analysis will be ongoing and participatory wherever feasible, focusing on two key scales (city-level and cross-regional comparative analysis).
